Jason Sudeikis Confirms Ted Lasso Season 4

Author : Nathan May 06,2025

Jason Sudeikis, star and producer of the beloved Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, has officially announced that the show is set to return for a fourth season. The news broke during Sudeikis' appearance on the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In a snippet from the podcast's latest episode, Sudeikis shared that the writing team is currently working on Season 4, confirming that Ted will be coaching a women's team this time around.

The announcement marks the first significant update on the continuation of Ted Lasso in nearly two years, providing much-needed relief for fans eager to see more of the feel-good soccer series. While it remains unclear whether Season 4 will be the final installment or where it will be set, Sudeikis humorously dodged questions about a potential return to the U.S., admitting he didn't have all the answers.

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway to bring back Juno Temple as Keeley, with Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift confirmed to reprise their roles as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Sources indicate that filming for the first episode of Season 4 is slated to begin in Kansas City before moving to the UK, with production expected to start in July.

Apple TV+ is actively working to reignite interest in Ted Lasso, despite the lack of specific release dates or plot details. The show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its long hiatus with a post on March 14, 2025, hinting at their return.

The last major update on Ted Lasso came in the summer of 2024, when Deadline reported that Season 4 was nearing greenlight status. For more insights into the show, you can explore why mid-2023 was a challenging period for TV fans and read our review of the Season 3 premiere.
