Top Lasher Decks for Marvel Snap Revealed

If you're nearing the end of the Marvel Rivals season in Marvel Snap, you might still want to take advantage of a leftover offering from October's We Are Venom event: a free symbiote-themed card. But is this latest addition, Lasher, worth the effort?

How Lasher Works in Marvel Snap

Lasher is a 2-cost, 2-power card with an intriguing ability: Activate – Afflict an enemy card here with negative Power equal to this card’s Power. In simpler terms, Lasher can reduce an opponent's card by 2 Power when activated. With the ability to buff cards in Marvel Snap, Lasher holds more potential than other free cards like Agony or King Etri.

For example, pairing Lasher with Namora can boost his Power to 7. Using Wong or Odin to re-trigger Namora can push Lasher’s Power to 12 or even higher, making him a formidable 14 or 24 Power card. Lasher synergizes particularly well with the season pass card, Galacta.

Keep in mind that Lasher is an Activate card, meaning you’ll need to draw and play him by Turn 5 at the latest to maximize his effect.

Best Lasher Decks in Marvel Snap

While Lasher may not immediately dominate the meta, he fits well into decks with buffing options, such as Silver Surfer. Although this deck usually lacks room for two-drops, playing Lasher on the final turn can yield significant power swings. Here’s a sample list:

  • Nova
  • Forge Lasher
  • Okoye
  • Brood
  • Silver Surfer
  • Killmonger
  • Nakia
  • Red Guardian
  • Sebastian Shaw
  • Copycat
  • Galacta: Daughter of Galactus

This deck features expensive Series 5 cards like Red Guardian, Sebastian Shaw, Copycat, and Galacta (if you’ve purchased the season pass). Cards like Juggernaut or Polaris can replace most of these, except Galacta.

Lasher works well with Forge, though you'll likely prioritize Brood or Sebastian Shaw. After playing Galacta on Turn 4, Lasher becomes a great option for high-energy plays. For instance, a 2-cost, 5-Power card paired with Galacta can afflict an opponent’s card with -5 Power, effectively becoming a 10-Power card without requiring additional energy.

This Silver Surfer list is straightforward and open to experimentation. Some notable exclusions include Absorbing Man, Gwenpool, and Sera.

Another promising deck featuring Lasher is a high-cost build with several Series 5 cards:

  • Agony
  • Zabu
  • Lasher
  • Psylocke
  • Hulk Buster
  • Jeff!
  • Captain Marvel
  • Scarlet Spider
  • Galacta: Daughter of Galactus
  • Gwenpool
  • Symbiote Spider-Man

Cards like Scarlet Spider and Lasher rely heavily on buffs from Galacta, Gwenpool, and Namora. Zabu and Psylocke help deploy these high-cost cards early, while Symbiote Spider-Man ensures Namora’s reactivation. Jeff! and Hulk Buster provide backup flexibility.

Is Lasher Worth the Effort?

With Marvel Snap becoming increasingly expensive to maintain, Lasher is undoubtedly worth the grind in High Voltage mode. The mode offers various rewards, so dedicating time to complete its frequent challenges every 8 hours is worthwhile. While Lasher may not become a meta mainstay, similar to Agony, you’ll likely spot him in several competitive decks.
