Brew Coffee Like a Pro at Wanderstop

In Ivy Road and Annapurna Interactive's Wanderstop, players take on the role of Alta, a weary fighter who transitions to running a serene tea shop nestled in a magical forest. The game's unique setting attracts a diverse clientele, some of whom request coffee, a beverage not typically available at the shop. Here's a detailed guide on how to unlock and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

Which Customers Want Coffee in Wanderstop?

In the fourth cycle of Wanderstop, a striking humanoid bird visits the shop seeking a refined cup of tea. Shortly after, a trio of businessmen named Jerry, Larry, and Terry arrive, dressed in suits and carrying briefcases, en route to a boardroom presentation. Alta quickly realizes they're lost and offers them tea, but they decline, insisting they only drink coffee. Despite the shop's lack of coffee, they decide to wait until it becomes available.

Boro, the tea shop's owner, explains that coffee has never grown in this forest, leaving Alta initially frustrated. The arrival of Zenith, an interdimensional figure fascinated by the businessmen, changes the situation. Zenith, intrigued by the concept of "ingredients brewed with hot water," tries the tea and compares it to coffee, sparking a conversation about the differences.

How to Unlock Coffee Beans in Wanderstop

Zenith and Alta discuss coffee beans in Wanderstop(Ivy Road/Annapurna Interactive)

To unlock coffee beans, prepare a special cup of tea for Zenith using something valuable, such as a book, trinket, pot, mug, small plant, or photograph. After tasting the tea, Zenith asks about the difference between coffee and tea, leading to a discussion about coffee beans. Zenith then uses the Infinite Path to introduce coffee beans to the forest, where they begin to grow in the clearing. Instructions for harvesting and brewing the beans are added to Alta's Field Guide.

How to Harvest and Brew Coffee in Wanderstop

Coffee beans appear randomly in the clearing after Zenith's intervention. Harvest them similarly to fruits and seeds, and store them in your ingredients pocket or carry them individually. They can also be placed on shelves, tables, floors, or the ground outside.

Before brewing, clean the beans using the dishwasher, which delivers them to the tea room via dish trains. To brew coffee, pour water into the tea maker and heat it (or not, depending on the order), then kick the gear to pour the water into the infuser. A single bean is enough to brew coffee, though customers may request additional beans or other ingredients. After brewing, kick the gear again to pour the coffee into the kettle below, then decant it into mugs for serving to customers, Boro, or Alta herself.

Offering coffee not only satisfies the businessmen but also delights Zenith and provides another option for other customers. Even Boro is willing to give it a try, though he admits it's not his preference.

That's the complete guide on how to unlock, harvest, and brew coffee in Wanderstop.

Wanderstop is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Steam.
