Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

Author : Jonathan Apr 15,2025

In the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, a cooperative horror game, your mission is clear: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of monsters that spawn randomly across various locations. The challenge is intense, but the reward is sweet. Successfully escape with your loot, and you'll be handsomely rewarded by the game and the menacing AI Taxman, allowing you to stock up on essential survival gear with your hard-earned cash.

To secure your valuable items, you must reach the Extraction Point where your C.A.R.T of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman decides your fate. If you manage to make it to the Service Station with a hefty sum, you're in for a treat. As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, what initially feels like a daunting task becomes second nature, as you master the art of extraction and conquer increasingly challenging levels and monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter just one Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, this number can increase, with a maximum of four Extraction Points. Keep an eye on the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen to track how many drop-offs you need to complete and how many you've already accomplished.

At the start of each level, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, a constant you can rely on for your first haul. Subsequent extractions, however, can be trickier.

After dropping off your first C.A.R.T.-full, continue navigating the level as usual. The catch? You won't know the Taxman's demands or the location of the next drop-off until you're in the vicinity. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable. By pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, you can view unexplored areas, helping you plan your routes and, if playing with others, coordinate your efforts to cover more ground simultaneously.

Once you reach the area of the next Extraction Point, its location will become clear, either by sight or sound. Upon finding it, press the big red button to learn your fate and whether you've collected enough. If you have the required number of items, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure none of your valuables are destroyed.

After completing an extraction, depending on the number of remaining Extraction Points, you'll either move on to the next one by repeating the process or attempt to return to the truck unscathed. Remember, after the final Extraction Point is discovered and your valuables are counted, you don't need to bring the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will spawn in the next location or level.

Now that you're well-versed in the art of extraction in *R.E.P.O.*, be sure to explore our other guides for more tips and strategies to enhance your gameplay experience.
