Exciting news for Disney enthusiasts! The much-anticipated Lion King-themed ride is set to grace Disneyland Paris, with construction slated to begin in Fall 2025. According to the Disney Parks Blog, this will be the first-ever land and attraction dedicated to the beloved 1994 classic, The Lion King, and it promises to be a major highlight of the reimagined Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World.

This new water ride will immerse guests in the iconic moments of the film, complete with a thrilling 52-foot drop that edges out Tiana's Bayou Adventure by two inches. A stunning concept image released by Disney showcases Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle setting, hinting at the detailed experience awaiting visitors.

The Lion King land will also feature a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and offer a variety of dining options, shopping experiences, character meet-and-greets, and more, making it a comprehensive and immersive zone within the park. While the exact opening date for this attraction remains under wraps, it is set to follow the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026, contributing to the expansive new Disney Adventure World, which will be double the size of the current park.

In addition to The Lion King ride, Disney Adventure World will introduce several other exciting attractions. Guests can look forward to the Raiponce Tangled Spin, featuring Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction inspired by Up, designed as a spinning carousel offering breathtaking views of the park's scenery.

The new park entrance, World Premiere, set to open on May 15, 2025, will transport visitors to a glamorous Hollywood premiere experience. Adjacent to it, World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and London's West End, will host spectacular shows such as TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
