Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Shining Revelry, Hints at Ranked Matches

Author : Mia Apr 19,2025

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, aptly named Shining Revelry, has brought an exciting array of over 110 new cards, including dazzling shiny variants. This update not only introduces these shimmering additions but also includes cards from the Paldea region, enhancing the diversity of the deck. As someone eager to dive into these new offerings, I couldn't resist using my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs right away. My luck shone brightly as I pulled a Charizard EX, although the rest of the haul was less thrilling. However, snagging a Pokémon Center Lady card provided some solace, given her ability to heal Special Conditions—a crucial advantage when facing off against debilitating effects like Burn.

Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, a familiar feature from previous expansions, where you can earn new badges to show off to your friends. More excitingly, the introduction of Ranked Matches is set to ramp up the competitive spirit. You'll be able to battle other Trainers, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the roughly one-month season, you'll be awarded a prestigious emblem. It's time for me to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks in earnest.

If you're eager to experience all the fun and excitement of Pokémon TCG Pocket, you can download it for free from the App Store and Google Play, though be aware that there are in-app purchases.
