Gacha game enthusiasts are always eager to keep tabs on the financial performance of their favorite titles. The latest figures for January 2025 have just been released, showcasing some interesting shifts in the market.
Last month, Genshin Impact rolled out a significant update featuring the pyro archon, Mawuika, which undoubtedly turned heads. According to the data, this update propelled miHoYo's (HoYoverse) flagship game to double its revenue, raking in an impressive $99.4 million, compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

In the race for second place, Pokemon TCG secured a solid position with earnings of $64 million. Not far behind, the popular "female gacha" game, Love and Deepspace, claimed the third spot with $55.2 million in revenue.
Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail saw a dip in earnings, reporting $50.8 million for the month. Zenless Zone Zero experienced a more significant drop, with its revenue plummeting from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's worth noting that these rankings focus exclusively on mobile platform revenues. Some of these games, particularly those from miHoYo, are also available on PC. Additionally, there's an important nuance in how these figures are calculated: "Since Google Play does not operate in China, the estimates for Android data in China are derived using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country."
