Talystro: Roguelike Deckbuilder Blends Math and RPG Action, Launching Soon

If you've been following our updates, you're likely familiar with our parent company's event, Pocket Gamer Connects. One of the highlights of this event is the Big Indie Pitch, where we showcase innovative indie games to a panel of judges. Today, we're excited to introduce you to one of the standout runners-up: the math-battling roguelike, Talystro!

At first glance, Talystro might seem like just another deckbuilding roguelike—a genre that's currently enjoying immense popularity. However, a closer look reveals what makes it unique. In Talystro, you'll step into the shoes of the math mouse, battling numeric monsters in your quest to overthrow the evil Necrodicer. The game cleverly integrates both cards and dice mechanics, allowing you to form target numbers to defeat enemies based on their numeric values. Be mindful, though, as you have a limited number of dice to use each turn.

ytCrypt of the NecrodicerTalystro's visual style is a delightful blend of rubber hose animation and fantasy elements, reminiscent of those math-focused educational games from your childhood. While the game's math requirements are basic and entry-level, the gameplay is captivating and easy to understand, making it appealing at first sight.

Set to launch in March, Talystro promises a simple yet challenging gameplay experience—a balance that many deckbuilders struggle to achieve. This unique blend is what we believe will captivate players upon its release.

While you eagerly await Talystro's arrival, why not explore our latest list of the top five new mobile games to try this week? It's a great way to keep yourself entertained in the meantime!
