LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth

Author : Daniel May 19,2025

LEGO has exciting news for Star Wars fans with the announcement of nine brand new sets, all set to launch on May 1, 2025, in celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day. This annual event, embraced by LEGO, often features the release of a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship. In previous years, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter in 2023 and the TIE Interceptor in 2024. This year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, previously known as Slave I. The name change to Firespray Starship, initiated in 2021 at Disney's request and confirmed by LEGO, reflects a shift away from potentially sensitive terminology. This change appears to be permanent.

The latest iteration of this iconic LEGO starship, inspired by its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones, boasts a significant upgrade. With 2970 pieces, it is nearly three times larger than the 2019 version, which had 1007 pieces and was based on the ship from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new model measures an impressive 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
