"Neverness to Everness Launches First Closed Beta in China"

Author : Gabriella May 15,2025

Hotta Studios is gearing up for the first closed beta test of their much-anticipated 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness. Unfortunately, only players residing in mainland China will have the chance to dive into this initial testing phase. If you're a fan of immersive 3D RPGs and reside outside of China, you'll have to watch from the sidelines as this exciting new title progresses towards its full release.

According to Gematsu, alongside the beta announcement, new lore details have been revealed. If you've seen the trailers showcasing the city of Eibon, you'll be familiar with the setting. The game introduces a slightly more comedic tone to its narrative, blending the weird and the mundane within the world of Hetherau. Fans of Hotta Studios might recognize them better through their parent company, Perfect World, known for creating the successful title Tower of Fantasy.

While Neverness to Everness fits well within the evolving landscape of 3D RPGs, which increasingly embraces urban environments, it stands out with unique features. One such highlight is the inclusion of open-world driving. If you enjoy speeding through city streets at night, you'll be able to indulge that thrill by purchasing and customizing a variety of cars within the game. Just remember, crashes in Neverness to Everness are as realistic and destructive as they come, so drive with caution!

Upon its release, Neverness to Everness will face tough competition in the 3D open-world RPG market. MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero has set a high bar for mobile RPGs, while NetEase's Naked Rain is developing Ananta (formerly known as Project Mugen), which also ventures into a similar urban setting. Despite this, Neverness to Everness promises to bring its own unique flavor to the genre.
