Fake Elden Ring Nightreign Test Invites Circulated by Scammers

Author : Grace Apr 16,2025

Bandai Namco has started sending out emails to verify participation in the closed testing of Elden Ring: Nightreign, scheduled from February 14 to 17, 2025. Selected players will be among the first to experience the game, designed with a three-person cooperative mode, as mentioned in the email.

Given the immense popularity of Nightreign, scammers are taking advantage by circulating fake testing invitations. Some players have reported receiving emails styled as official notifications from Bandai Namco, supposedly inviting them to participate in the testing. These fraudulent emails often contain links to counterfeit websites mimicking Steam.

These scammers prompt users to log into these fake sites, resulting in the loss of access to their accounts. In some instances, players have received similar deceptive messages from their own friends. Fortunately, some victims have successfully regained access to their accounts by reaching out to Steam support.

It's crucial to exercise caution with links and always verify the authenticity of the sources. If in doubt, it's best to consult official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.

In Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will no longer have the option to leave messages within the game. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision in an interview. He stated that due to the approximately forty-minute duration of the Nightreign gaming sessions, players won't have sufficient time to leave or check messages.

Since the sessions last around forty minutes, there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages, which led to the decision to disable the messaging feature.
