Alchemy Stars to Shut Down After Four Years, Offline Version Planned

Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite made the announcement that they will be discontinuing the live services of Alchemy Stars. Initially launched in June 2021 for mobile devices, Alchemy Stars is transitioning into an offline version, allowing players to continue enjoying the game's story even after the official shutdown.

When Is the Game Wrapping Up Its Services?

Alchemy Stars will cease its live service operations on January 24th, 2025. In preparation for the shift to an offline version, the developers are scheduling maintenance on January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT to release version 1.43.0. It's essential to update your game following this maintenance to enable the local data save feature, which is your only chance to preserve your progress. You'll find a data save button on the main page; simply tap it to access a page where you can save your user data.

Remember, you can save your data multiple times, but this option will be available only until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. After this deadline, any unsaved data will be lost permanently.

Once Alchemy Stars transitions to its special offline edition, there will be no further updates. If you delete the app, you won't be able to download or reinstall it. However, the offline version will allow you to explore your saved data, play through the story, and upgrade units.

While a complete shutdown would have been disappointing, the availability of an offline version offers a silver lining for fans. Make sure to prepare for the offline experience and download the game from the Google Play Store before it's no longer available.
