Alien Movies in (Chronological) Order

1. AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004)

The Xenomorph story begins, chronologically, with the first of the two crossover films, AVP. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, this 2004 film brings to life the epic "battle of the titans" concept that originated in a 1989 comic. In the movie, humans uncover that Predators (known as "Yautja") have been visiting Earth for millennia. Ancient cults would sacrifice themselves to a Xenomorph Queen's offspring, the facehuggers, leading to the emergence of adult Xenomorphs for the Predators to hunt as the "ultimate prey." However, things take a dark turn during the Predators' hunting expedition in 2004.

2. Aliens vs Predator: Requiem (2007)

Set in modern times and occurring before the rest of the Alien franchise, the crossover sequel Aliens vs Predator: Requiem continues right where AVP left off. A hybrid creature, the "Predalien," is unleashed in a small Colorado town. A veteran Predator arrives to deal with the chaos, leading to intense action and bloodshed. This marks the final crossover film in the Alien franchise. For more on the Predator series, you can check out our guide to the Predator movies in order.
