Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war. The recently released gameplay trailer offers a compelling glimpse into this post-apocalyptic world.

Initially showcased at Xbox's Summer Game Fest, Atomfall initially flew somewhat under the radar amidst other major announcements. However, its intriguing premise and day-one Game Pass inclusion quickly piqued gamer interest.

A newly released seven-minute trailer provides substantial gameplay details. The game casts players into a Fallout-esque landscape, navigating quarantine zones, desolate villages, and abandoned research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging amidst threats from hostile robots, fanatical cultists, and perilous environments.

The trailer highlights a range of combat options, from melee weapons (a cricket bat is shown) to firearms including a revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle. These weapons are upgradeable, and the trailer hints at a broader arsenal awaiting discovery. Crafting plays a significant role, allowing players to create healing items and explosive devices like Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can enhance their capabilities by unlocking skills across four categories: melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning.

Launching March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, Atomfall will be immediately available on Xbox Game Pass. Rebellion promises a further in-depth video soon, so fans are encouraged to stay tuned for more updates.
