The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu debuted at the Xbox Partner Preview, confirming its arrival on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in summer 2026.
This refines the earlier release window, as publisher Nacon and developer ACE Team had previously planned to launch their four-player horror co-op experience sometime next year. As shown in its gameplay trailer, players must cooperate to survive the Lovecraftian horrors lurking within The Mound.
Nacon and ACE announced The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu during the March Nacon Connect, unveiling it as a first-person experience set in a dense jungle capable of warping the minds of anyone who enters. Players are armed with weapons and tools to aid their journey, but the true horror lies in the psychological twists that turn friends against each other.
“The Mound is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s tales, with their suffocating and unpredictable atmospheres,” an official description states. “Here, supernatural forces don’t merely hunt you—they twist your perception of reality, disorienting you at every turn. Confronted by monstrous entities and inexplicable phenomena, the line between truth and illusion dissolves, fueling doubt and paranoia among your group.”
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu is set to release next summer.
