Inside the Pokémon Ecology Encyclopedia
This comprehensive guide will delve into the intricate world of Pokémon through a biological and ecological lens. Pokécology will explore various aspects such as Pokémon diets, sleeping patterns, physical traits, and social interactions—both among themselves and with their environments.
The project brings together experts from the University of Tokyo, including veterinary behaviorists and ecology specialists. Renowned ecologist Yoshinari Yonehara serves as the lead researcher, offering scientific insights into wild Pokémon behaviors. Illustrator Chihiro Kino, known for her work in wildlife ecology publications, contributes vivid full-color illustrations that bring these creatures to life in stunning detail.
While Pokémon has previously published numerous books covering game mechanics, battle strategies, and lore, Pokécology represents a significant shift toward a more educational and scientific approach. This unique perspective offers readers—especially young fans—a deeper understanding of Pokémon biology, making it both an informative and engaging resource for curious minds.
