"Blast Out of Dark Dungeon with Magic in Last Mage"

Author : Lucy May 17,2025

Weird Johnny Studio, the creative minds behind Hero Tale, have introduced their latest project, the grimdark bullet heaven game, Last Mage. In this roguelite adventure, you step into the role of the last surviving mage, battling your way through hordes of monsters in a desperate bid for survival.

Set in a world where magic is forbidden and mages are nearly extinct, you find yourself condemned to a dungeon. Your only hope lies in your magical prowess as you fight to stay alive. The game challenges you to delve deeper into the dungeon, confronting and defeating the monstrous inhabitants.

To succeed, you'll need to enhance your magical abilities by gathering ancient artifacts and meticulously managing your mana to avoid running out at critical moments. This strategic element adds depth to the gameplay, ensuring that every decision counts.

Backpacking
While the bullet heaven genre is familiar, Last Mage introduces a unique twist with its inventory system. Different backpacks you can unlock affect your storage capacity and organization, requiring you to carefully select and optimize your equipment. This adds another layer of strategy, as you must fine-tune your loadout to maximize the space available.

Last Mage is slated for release by the end of 2025, with a more precise date to be announced soon. If the blend of Vampire Survivors' bullet heaven mechanics and Backpack Battles' inventory management intrigues you, keep an eye on this title.
