Cow in Mario Kart World Eats Burgers, Steak

In a delightful break from the usual news cycle of tariffs and Nintendo Switch 2 pricing, IGN recently attended a Nintendo event in New York where they delved into the world of Mario Kart World. The event confirmed an intriguing detail about the newly introduced Moo Moo Meadows Cow character: she can indeed consume a variety of foods, including burgers and steak.

For those unfamiliar, Mario Kart World recently introduced the Moo Moo Meadows Cow as a playable racer, sparking a wave of excitement and creativity across the internet. Fans have been busy creating memes and fanart, celebrating the transformation of this once-background character into a central figure in the Mario Kart universe.

However, the reveal of Mario eating a burger in the Nintendo Direct 2 trailer raised an interesting question among fans: would Cow, potentially a source of beef, eat beef herself? This curiosity was put to rest at the event, where it was observed that Cow can indeed eat a range of food items available at Yoshi's diner locations throughout the game's courses. These diners operate like drive-thrus, allowing racers to grab take-out bags filled with various foods, such as burgers, steak kebabs, pizza, and donuts.

IGN's coverage included a video showcasing Cow indulging in these items, including the controversial burger. While other characters change costumes upon consuming these foods, Cow does not seem to undergo any transformation. This has led to speculation about whether she enjoys these foods for their taste or if there's an undisclosed power-up at play. Could these be vegetarian options like veggie burgers and Beyond meat kebabs? The mystery remains, as Nintendo has yet to respond to IGN's inquiries on this matter.
