"Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Exploring New Frontiers with Mongols and Asia"

Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III's Chapter IV, set to unfold throughout 2025. This chapter focuses on expanding the game's reach into Asia, introducing new mechanics and regions for players to explore and conquer.

The chapter begins with the release of the cosmetic DLC, Crowns of the World. This stylish pack includes six crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players more options to personalize their rulers and enhance their in-game appearance.

On April 28, the first major expansion, Khans of the Steppe, will be introduced. This DLC lets players take command of the Mongols as the Great Khan, leading a nomadic horde to conquer lands and establish dominance over neighboring territories. This expansion promises to bring a new dynamic to gameplay with its focus on nomadic warfare and expansion.

Following this, in Q3 (July–September), Coronations will be released. This DLC introduces a ceremonial mechanic where players can legitimize their reign through grand coronation events. These ceremonies will involve hosting extravagant festivities, making solemn vows, and deciding the path of your kingdom. Additionally, new advisor and vassal events will enhance political interactions, adding depth to royal succession and governance.

The chapter will culminate with the massive expansion, All Under Heaven, set to arrive later in the year. This expansion will feature a comprehensive East Asian map, including detailed depictions of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore and conquer, significantly expanding the game's scope and offering fresh challenges and opportunities.

In between these major DLC releases, Paradox Interactive will continue to issue patches to refine game systems and improve AI behavior. The developers are committed to incorporating player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26. This ongoing engagement ensures that Crusader Kings III remains a dynamic and evolving experience for its community.
