Defeating the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.: Strategies Revealed

Author : Sophia Apr 11,2025

In the thrilling world of *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter 19 unique monsters, each designed to challenge your skills and keep you on your toes. Among these, the Eye Monster, known as the Peeper, presents a unique challenge. Here's a detailed guide on how to effectively beat the Peeper in *R.E.P.O.*.

How to Beat the Eye Monster (Peeper) in R.E.P.O.

The Peeper is a tricky adversary, lurking on ceilings and often spotting you before you notice it. This giant eyeball remains closed until you enter its vicinity, spawning unpredictably across the map.

Once the Peeper detects you, it opens its eye, locking your gaze and preventing you from looking away. This connection inflicts two points of damage to your HP every second it's maintained. While the Peeper's damage output is relatively low, ranking it in the lowest tier of danger, the disorientation it causes can be a significant hindrance, especially when trying to navigate or escape from other threats.

When caught in the Peeper's gaze, your point of view zooms in on the eyeball, making it difficult to maneuver or sprint away from other enemies. To counter this, always be mindful of potential Peeper spawn points and maintain a clear escape route. The best strategy is to move around a corner or through a door. If possible, closing the door can break the Peeper's line of sight. If you're with a teammate, have them shut the door for you to make this maneuver easier. The key is to keep moving and stay calm.

To defeat the Peeper, you'll need to use the 'Gun', available for purchase at the Service Station for approximately $47K. It may take several shots to take down this eye monster. Although challenging to aim while under the Peeper's influence, it's possible with a steady hand. As with many challenges in *R.E.P.O.*, having a teammate can significantly ease the process.
