He advised against associating DELTARUNE with UNDERTALE, suggesting that doing so could detract from the new game's experience. He reassured fans that the worlds of UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE are entirely separate, stating, "Undertale world and ending are the same as however you left them. If everyone was happy in your ending, the people in the Undertale world will still be happy."
