GungHo Entertainment, creators of the crossover card battler Teppen, is venturing into a new realm with their upcoming retro-style RPG: Disney Pixel RPG. This collaboration with Disney promises a pixel art adventure featuring a massive roster of beloved Disney characters.

The game, expected to launch later this year, will allow players to recruit and battle with iconic Disney figures across multiple game worlds. Prepare for a blend of battle, action, and rhythm-based challenges!

Disney Pixel RPG will also let you create and customize your own character to fight alongside the Disney cast. The gameplay blends auto-battling with opportunities for direct player control during key moments. The storyline revolves around combating mysterious programs that have infiltrated the pixelated Disney worlds.

A Retro Revival

This isn't GungHo's first foray into large-franchise crossovers. However, given Disney's extensive library of films and franchises, this project offers an even broader range of potential characters. And if any developer is equipped to manage such a diverse cast, it's GungHo.

Pre-registration for Disney Pixel RPG is open now on iOS and Android. Visit the game's official website for more sneak peeks, screenshots, and additional information. The game is slated for release sometime this year.
