The Flare Knife is a vital combat item that becomes available early in your journey through Freedom Wars Remastered. Once you achieve Level 003 Code Clearance, make your way to Zakka in The Warren. Zakka is your go-to spot for a variety of weapons and combat items, including the Flare Knife, which you can purchase for 3,000 Entitlement Points.
To equip the Flare Knife, navigate to the Loadout menu in the Personal Responsibility Portal. Here, select an available slot under Combat Items. If you have a Flare Knife in your inventory, it will be listed, allowing you to equip it and bring it into your next battle.
How To Use Flare Knife In Freedom Wars Remastered
The Flare Knife is described as a reusable combat tool designed specifically for severing Abductor parts. This feature is particularly beneficial for players who favor Polearms or Heavy Melee weapons, as it allows them to sever limbs without switching to Light Melee weapons. However, keep in mind that the Flare Knife is a one-time-use item, so you’ll need to purchase another one before engaging in your next Operation.
To use the Flare Knife effectively, lock onto the severable part of the Abductor and use your Thorn to pull yourself toward it. With the Flare Knife equipped in your active slot, you'll have the option to initiate the severing process. This action will trigger a quick QTE (Quick Time Event) where you must rapidly press a specific button to deplete the severing bar. Success here will result in the part being severed. Be vigilant, as the Abductor may attempt to disrupt you by leaping or crashing into a wall.
