As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, players are uncovering more about the game's lore and facing increasingly challenging combat scenarios. Each nation in Genshin Impact features two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out as one of the most formidable adversaries in Natlan. This dual-sworded Dragon, a symbol of the ancient ruler of Natlan, embodies the menacing presence of the Abyss, reminiscent of the Riftwolves from Inazuma with its Corrosion effect. While defeating this boss is no small feat, it's certainly achievable with the right strategy. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to conquer the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.

Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire resides in the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is housed within a shrine commemorating those lost in the Natlan battle. To access this boss, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, players can bypass the story and enter the domain via the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook. Upon defeating the boss, players can claim rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly battles.

How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact

Successfully defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire often requires the use of regional characters from Natlan, such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. Although the Dragon remains relatively stationary for much of the fight, it will eventually summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora, which are more easily defeated with characters wielding Nightsoul Blessings.

Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing

While it's possible to destroy the summoned Pillars with other characters, using Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina significantly reduces the time needed to break their shields. This quick action prevents the Dragon from unleashing its Eroded Meteor strike, immobilizing it for about 10 seconds, during which you can deal substantial damage. If the Pillars aren't destroyed in time, equip a shield and switch to a healer to survive the meteor attack, as the corrosion effect can penetrate shields and deal significant damage. Reliable healers like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett are essential for this phase.

Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon

Dodging the Dragon's unpredictable attacks can be challenging, especially when it transforms into smoke and moves erratically around the arena. Its primary attacks include sword slashes and smashes that can drastically alter the battlefield, reducing the space available for dodging. When the Dragon chops off parts of the battlefield, staying close and attacking from underneath can be effective, but caution is necessary due to the corrosion from its Eroded Dragon Breath attack. This attack involves the Dragon impaling its swords into the ground, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. Staying near its hands can provide a safe spot, as the Dragon Breath doesn't reach there. Immediate healing is crucial if hit by sword slashes to counteract the Erosion effect. A strong healer is indispensable for this fight.

Co-Op Mode and Matching

Even without Natlan characters, players can attempt the fight in Co-Op Mode. Teaming up with others who have characters with Nightsoul Blessings can greatly ease the Pillar phase. Simply click the 'Match' button upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and tackle the boss together. Fortunately, this fight lacks multiple phases, unlike some other Weekly Bosses, but it still demands a significant time investment to complete.
