"Guide to Using Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia"

In *Phasmophobia*, using special Cursed Possessions can help you track and conquer the most notorious ghosts, albeit with a certain level of risk. Among these, the Haunted Mirror stands out as a particularly useful tool, and if you're cautious about using it, here’s a detailed guide on how it works and how to maximize its benefits safely.

How to Use the Haunted Mirror in Phasmophobia

The Haunted Mirror is often considered one of the safest Cursed Objects in *Phasmophobia* due to its high reward-to-risk ratio. Its functionality has remained consistent across various updates, making it a reliable choice during your ghost hunting expeditions. If you encounter it during your investigation, using it is highly recommended.

The Haunted Mirror provides a panoramic view of the ghost’s current favorite room or area on the map, which significantly speeds up your search. If you're familiar with the layout of the map, this tool allows you to quickly locate the ghost and set up your equipment before the situation escalates.

You can usually find the Haunted Mirror hanging on a wall, such as in 6 Tanglewood Drive, or lying on the floor in its predetermined location. While Cursed Objects always appear in the same spot on a map, the specific item that spawns is randomized.

To use the Haunted Mirror, simply pick it up and use the appropriate button (mouse or controller) to interact with it and hold it up. The reflection will reveal the ghost’s current favorite room. Keep in mind that on Professional difficulty or higher, the ghost may move to a different area after some time.

However, be cautious not to gaze into the Haunted Mirror for too long, as doing so will drain your sanity. If you hold it up for the entire duration, the mirror will shatter, triggering a Cursed Hunt at your current location. Therefore, it's best to use it when your sanity is high and quickly understand the reflection to avoid unnecessary risks.

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Multiple Cursed Objects in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions, commonly referred to as “Cursed Objects,” are unique items in *Phasmophobia* that appear randomly on any map, influenced by factors like difficulty settings or Challenge Mode. Unlike regular equipment, which helps locate ghosts and gather evidence with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts to manipulate the ghost but come with significantly higher risks to your character.

The safety of using these objects varies depending on their specific abilities, and it's up to you and your team to decide whether to use them. There's no penalty for choosing not to interact with them. Typically, only one Cursed Possession will appear per contract, though this can be altered in Custom settings.

There are seven different Cursed Objects available in the game:

  • Summoning Circle
  • Haunted Mirror
  • Voodoo Doll
  • Music Box
  • Tarot Cards
  • Ouija Board
  • Monkey Paw
