"JetPack Joyride Racing: Halfbrick's New Spinoff Hits the Track"

Author : Harper May 27,2025

When it comes to pioneering developers in the early days of mobile gaming, Halfbrick Studios stands out prominently. Many of us fondly remember the thrill of playing Jetpack Joyride on demo iPads at the Apple store, often at the expense of our parents' patience. It's no surprise, then, that Jetpack Joyride has spawned numerous spinoffs, the latest being a kart racing game.

Set to launch on June 20th, Jetpack Joyride Racing is a kart racing spinoff of Halfbrick Studios' beloved endless runner. Players can choose from iconic characters such as protagonist Barry Steakfries and other Halfbrick favorites as they compete for supremacy in uniquely themed karts.

To get a head start, Halfbrick Studios is offering a closed beta for signups. Pre-registration is also open for the broader player base. If you're eager to race ahead of the official release, check out the official Halfbrick Studios Discord for sign-up details.

Jetpack Joyride Racing

Spinning off - Jetpack Joyride Racing aims to blend casual, pick-up-and-play fun with deeper mechanical complexity, catering to both casual players and hardcore kart racing enthusiasts. While the transition from jetpacks to karts might seem unconventional, as one might expect the characters to continue using jetpacks for corner drifting within some sort of track barrier, this new direction promises fresh excitement.

Despite this minor curiosity, Jetpack Joyride Racing is poised to be a captivating addition to the franchise that has long been a staple in mobile gaming. Keep an eye on Halfbrick Plus for more updates and to see what else is coming to their subscription gaming service.
