King of Crabs Launches Epic Warfare

Upon its release in 2019, King of Crabs quickly gained popularity thanks to its quirky yet endearing concept—a battle royale starring crabs. Now, developer Robot Squid is diving back into crustacean chaos with an even grander vision. King of Crabs – Invasion is the brand-new installment.

From Epic Crab Battle Royale to Epic Crab Warfare

Robot Squid has revamped the gameplay for the new title. Rather than joining 99 other players in a chaotic tidepool, you’ll engage in real-time strategy. In essence, the original free-for-all has evolved into a compact RTS experience.

Just like before, you command crabs in combat in King of Crabs – Invasion. But instead of scavenging for weapons or consuming smaller creatures to grow, you strategically position units along a linear battlefield.

You have access to various options, including standard crab soldiers, catapults, and heavy tanks armed with mace-like claws. Each match revolves outmaneuvering your enemy before they overrun your side of the map, with terrain and unexpected obstacles influencing the outcome.

King of Crabs – Invasion Is on Android

The game is currently available in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore. For worldwide players, it arrives on Android on May 30—just three days from now. Think of it as a fresh spin-off rather than a direct sequel.

As a reminder, the original King of Crabs was the debut title from Robot Squid, a British indie studio founded in 2018. They joined forces with Spilt Milk Studios to release the game in 2020 for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. At its peak, fans described it as Fortnite with claws.
