Among Us is a thrilling multiplayer party game blending teamwork and deception, created by Innersloth. In a space-themed setting, players become either Crewmates or Impostors. Crewmates work together to complete tasks and keep their ship running, while Impostors covertly undermine operations and eliminate fellow players. This beginner's guide explains the basics and how to rapidly improve—whether you're playing with friends or joining public games.
Be a Crew Member or Impostor
Among Us supports 4 to 15 players across various maps like The Skeld, Polus, MIRA HQ, The Airship, and Fungle. Each player is randomly assigned one of two roles:
Crewmates: Complete all assigned tasks and figure out who the Impostors are. Impostors: Sabotage the mission, eliminate Crewmates discreetly, and avoid suspicion.
The game concludes when Crewmates finish all tasks or eject all Impostors, or when Impostors eliminate enough Crewmates to take over the ship.

Emergency Meetings
Emergency meetings are a vital game feature that lets players gather suddenly to discuss clues about potential Impostors. Impostors can also use these meetings to spread confusion. To start one, go to the lobby and press the large red button in the center. This brings all players to the lobby for a critical discussion on whether to eject someone. Use your reasoning skills to assess what has happened so far.
For an enhanced experience, play Among Us on your PC or Laptop using BlueStacks, taking advantage of a bigger screen and precise keyboard and mouse controls.
