League of Legends has introduced a new client-side minigame available through the end of April. If you're familiar with Balatro, you'll quickly grasp the mechanics of Demon's Hand, the new card game within League of Legends.
Getting Started with League of Legends' Demon's Hand
Begin by ensuring your League client is fully updated. Then, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. This launches an introductory story sequence before placing you into your first round of card gameplay.

Your hand appears as the bottom row of cards. The bottom-right corner displays your health, coins, and critical strike chance percentage. Directly above this is your Sigil box, which can hold up to six active Sigils—though you start with none. Health doesn't regenerate between battles; instead, visit tent locations on your map when possible to restore a portion of your health.
The enemy card occupies the top position, showing its health in the bottom-right corner and damage in the bottom-left. To its left, an attack coin indicates how many hands you can play before the enemy strikes. Along the screen's left edge, a book catalogues all playable attack hands alongside their base damage values for standard rounds.
Demon's Hand Gameplay Guide for League of Legends

Damage is dealt by forming poker hands, though Demon's Hand uses unique terminology. The ultimate combination is The Demon's Hand, equivalent to a royal flush. Below are the playable hands alongside their traditional poker names.
Beyond base damage, each card's numerical value contributes to the total damage. When enemies possess abilities that nullify specific suits, affected cards appear crossed out. While still playable, these cards won't add their numerical value to the base damage.

Enhancing Attacks with Sigils
Sigils provide strategic enhancements purchased during store phases—marked by coins on your map. Defeating enemies rewards coins used to acquire Sigils, each offering unique abilities visible when hovering over them in shops or during rounds. Certain Sigils boost specific hands like Dyads for extra damage, while others grant additional turns between enemy attacks or reduce incoming damage.
This covers the fundamentals of Demon's Hand in League of Legends. If card games aren't your preference, explore the upcoming April Fools skins to discover what's coming soon to Summoner's Rift.
