Steam Pokémon Volcanion’s Debut Appearance

Pokémon GO Fest 2025 in Osaka, Paris and Jersey City This Summer

Niantic warmly welcomes Trainers from around the globe to the much-anticipated Pokémon GO Fest 2025, taking place this summer! The festivities kick off on May 29th and will be celebrated in-person at these stunning locations:

  • May 29 - June 1 in Osaka, Japan (Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park)
  • June 6 - June 8 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA (Liberty State Park)
  • June 13 - June 15 in Paris, France (Parc de Sceaux)

A major highlight of this year's event is the debut of the elusive Steam Pokémon, Volcanion. Trainers with tickets to any of the events will have the unique opportunity to encounter Volcanion through Special Research. However, please note that regardless of the number of tickets purchased, each player can only encounter Volcanion once. Any additional Special Research stories will reward you with Volcanion Candy instead.

Enhance your Pokémon GO Fest 2025 experience with exclusive festival merchandise! Keep in mind, these items are available only through pre-order and are in limited quantities. Pre-orders will be available for pickup at the event itself.

Please note that the Lapel Pin accessory and the limited edition Pikachu, Gengar, and Wobbuffet backpacks are exclusive to Jersey City and Paris; they will not be available at the Osaka event.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global For Everyone

Can't make it to the regional events? No worries! The Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global event is set for June 28th and 29th, and it's accessible online for players worldwide. Purchasing a ticket for the Global event grants you access to exclusive Timed Research for Volcanion, along with 5x Max Revives, 5x Rare Candies, and 3x Premium Battle Passes.

Global event tickets can be bought up until the last day of the event, June 29th. However, Trainers who purchase their tickets by April 15th and play Pokémon GO between April 8th at 10 AM local time and April 15th at 10 AM local time will enjoy a special Timed Research, rewarding an additional encounter with Skiddo.
