Niantic's latest initiative, the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, offers an exciting opportunity for trainers in Chile and India to actively shape their gaming environment while reaping exclusive rewards. From March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, players can participate by reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations on the Niantic Wayfarer platform, contributing to the addition of new PokéStops and Gyms in the game.
Engaging in the challenge allows you to nominate real-world locations such as landmarks, sculptures, and street art to become part of the Pokémon Go universe. As you review these nominations, you'll be working towards collective milestone goals. Achieving 5,000 resolved nominations rewards all participants with 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. If the community pushes further to 10,000 approvals, the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.
To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing nominations. Additionally, you must have played in Chile or India recently or have set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To be eligible for rewards, you need to review at least 50 nominations, and at least one of the milestones must be achieved.
Simultaneously, the PokéStop Challenge event will take place from March 9th to 12th in Chile and India. This event offers 3x XP for visiting new PokéStops for the first time, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and an increase in Kecleon spawns. Event Field Research tasks will grant encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research provides opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
