*Pokémon Unite* features a total of six ranks, each segmented into multiple classes that allow for sub-rank progression. This structure helps players advance steadily until they're ready to move up to the next full rank. The number of classes per rank increases slightly as you climb higher, reflecting the increasing challenge. Importantly, players only accumulate points toward rank ascension during ranked matches, not in quick or standard matches. Here's the breakdown of the ranks in *Pokémon Unite*:

  • Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
  • Great Rank (4 Classes)
  • Expert Rank (5 Classes)
  • Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
  • Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
  • Master Rank

Starting Out

Your journey begins at the Beginner Rank, which is divided into three classes. To unlock ranked matches, you'll need to reach Trainer Level 6, achieve a Fair Play score of 80, and secure five Pokémon licenses. Once these requirements are met, you can dive into the ranked match mode and start your climb from the Beginner Rank.

Performance Points

Performance Points are the currency of progress in *Pokémon Unite*. You earn these points in each ranked match based on your performance, with 5-15 points awarded depending on your score, 10 points for good sportsmanship, another 10 just for participating, and an additional 10-50 points for maintaining a winning streak. Each rank has a cap on Performance Points, and once you hit this cap, you start earning Diamond Points instead, which are crucial for advancing. Here are the Performance Point caps for each rank:

  • Beginner Rank: 80 Points
  • Great Rank: 120 Points
  • Expert Rank: 200 Points
  • Veteran Rank: 300 Points
  • Ultra Rank: 400 Points
  • Master Rank: N/A

Advancing and Advancement Rewards

Diamond Points are your ticket to climbing higher classes and ranks. Accumulating four Diamond Points will upgrade your class. Once you've reached the top class of your current rank, you'll transition into the first class of the next rank. You earn one Diamond Point per ranked match win and lose one per loss. If your Performance Points are maxed out for your rank, you'll also earn one Diamond Point per ranked match.

At the end of each season, *Pokémon Unite* rewards players with Aeos Tickets based on their rank, with higher ranks yielding more tickets. These tickets are your key to purchasing items and upgrades in the Aeos Emporium. Additionally, certain ranks come with their own unique rewards, which change with each season.

With this knowledge in hand, you're ready to tackle ranked matches and ascend the ranks in *Pokémon Unite*. Best of luck on your journey to dominance and securing the best rewards the game has to offer.

*Pokémon Unite is available now on mobile devices and the Nintendo Switch.*
