Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5: Leaks Suggest Permanent Bangboo Dress-Up Mode
New leaks suggest a permanent dress-up game mode is coming to Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) in Version 1.5, launching January 22nd. This mode, initially introduced as a "Bangboo Beauty Contest" event, will allow players to customize outfits for the game's mascot, Eous.
Version 1.4 introduced several new permanent game modes, but this would be a unique addition, focusing on non-combat gameplay. Previous events have experimented with different mechanics, like the tower defense style of "Bangboo vs Ethereal." This new dress-up mode, according to leaker Flying Flame, will offer a variety of clothing items for Eous, though event-specific rewards will be time-limited. Rumors suggest this event may also unlock a long-awaited skin for Nicole Demara.
Further leaks hint at a temporary platformer game mode alongside the dress-up event. This aligns with HoYoverse's history of incorporating non-combat permanent modes in other titles, such as Honkai: Star Rail's cocktail-making and Genshin Impact's card game.
Version 1.5 is also confirmed to introduce new S-Rank characters Astra Yao and Evelyn, a new area, and a new chapter in the main storyline. With the update's release date approaching, official details are expected soon.
