Silksong Developer Reaffirms Release For Switch 1
Following the brief showcase of Silksong at the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might bypass the current generation and launch directly on the next-gen console. Initially announced in 2019 for PC and the original Switch, Silksong was later confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox consoles by developer Team Cherry.
Matthew Griffin, Team Cherry's Marketing and PR Handler, took to Twitter (X) on April 8 to address these concerns. He confirmed that Silksong will indeed be available on both the original Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.
Although no official details have been released on how these versions will differ, it's anticipated that the Switch 2 version will leverage the console's enhanced capabilities for a higher resolution experience.
