The PC version of Stellar Blade is set to launch on Steam on June 11, accompanied by a suite of PC-specific enhancements, as revealed by a trailer mistakenly published by Sony on the PlayStation YouTube channel before being taken down. The internet, however, swiftly captured the trailer, which is expected to be officially re-released soon.
The trailer also unveiled the Stellar Blade Complete Edition, which includes the base game and all the DLC released to date for both PS5 and PC. This news arrives over a year following the game's successful launch on PS5 in April 2024.
Stellar Blade on PC will feature all the expected enhancements, such as AI upscaling with Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, an unlocked framerate, Japanese and Chinese voiceover options, ultrawide display support, higher resolution environment textures, and DualSense support for haptic feedback and trigger effects.
Additionally, the trailer introduced a new boss battle against Mann, Leader of the Sentinels, and showcased 25 new costumes, which are expected to be available on PS5 as well. At the trailer's conclusion, Eve is seen letting go of a memory stick—a scene not present in the base game—sparking speculation about a potential new ending or upcoming DLC.
Developed by the Korean studio Shift Up, Stellar Blade was a major success, generating $43 million in royalties in its last financial year. The studio anticipates that the PC version will surpass the sales of the PS5 edition, which sold over 1 million copies within two months. Shift Up has also expressed interest in developing another game within the franchise.
In Stellar Blade, players assume the role of Eve, fighting to reclaim Earth from unknown invaders in a fast-paced action role-playing game. The game received a 7/10 rating from IGN, praised for its action elements but criticized for its characters, story, and some RPG mechanics. Despite these critiques, Stellar Blade quickly sold a million copies, proving its popularity among gamers.
