Rocksteady Studios has released Season 4 Episode 8, marking the final major content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Launched in February 2024 to mixed reviews, the game's support will end on January 14, with the final patch now accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Despite the exciting premise of a superhero-themed game, the unexpected live-service model was a significant factor in the game's quick decline. Just 10 months after its release, Rocksteady announced on December 9, 2024, that Season 4 Episode 8 would conclude the game's content updates. All online features will remain accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with friends.
Following a brief server downtime, Rocksteady has officially released the final content update. With servers back online, players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, a range of powerful new Notorious weapons, and a new Mayhem mission that serves as the final confrontation with Brainiac. Additionally, there are several important bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, including a reduction in XP requirements for Squad Levels.
While the servers will stay operational post-Season 4 Episode 8, the game can also be played offline thanks to the Season 4 Episode 7 update from December. This update allows players to access the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. Although Rocksteady has not announced a server shutdown, the offline mode ensures fans can continue playing even if the servers are eventually taken offline.
For those who missed out on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during its brief run, the game is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3. Subscribers can also enjoy The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

MEDIEVAL GENIUS
Explore more of the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, with new twists on familiar locations and fresh sights. Challenge yourself at The Quarry, a fortified citadel you must besiege to defeat Brainiac. The Arena offers a venue for jousting or interdimensional battles, while statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van add a touch of awe to this era of chivalry and honor.
LIBRA INFAMY SET
The Infamy Set for Episode 8 draws inspiration from Libra, a dangerous DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance. The set applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies, increasing both the damage they deal and receive by 50% per stack. This set promotes a high-risk, high-reward playstyle, encouraging bold and dynamic gameplay.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
Complementing Libra’s Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence enhances damage by 200% against enemies with Scales of Libra. Its Alt-Fire delivers a 1,000% damage boost and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100%, making it an excellent crowd control tool.
Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify foes, ideal for devastating multiple targets at once.
