TOEM: A Photo Adventure Android Early Access, iOS Soon

  • Toem: A Photo Adventure is now available in early access for Android.
  • A later iOS release is planned, featuring perspective-shifting puzzles.
  • Play as an aspiring photographer on a journey to a mountain to witness the mysterious Toem.

Perspective is everything—a truth that perfectly captures the award-winning puzzle game Toem: A Photo Adventure. Now in early access on Android and coming soon to iOS, Toem delivers a surprisingly heartwarming adventure despite its monochromatic art style.

You take on the role of a young photographer whose goal is to climb a mountain and witness a rare phenomenon known as Toem. Along the way, you’ll traverse Scandinavian-inspired landscapes, meeting and helping a variety of charming characters.

Your task is to assist these characters to progress, using your camera to solve creative puzzles—like scaring off birds bothering a ferryman so he can transport you. Even beyond the puzzles, the game’s simple black-and-white aesthetic reveals beautifully detailed and immersive environments.

Toem is a prime example of relaxed Scandinavian design, created by Swedish studio Something We Made. After earning numerous awards and critical acclaim on other platforms, a mobile release feels like a natural next step.

The game follows the popular try-before-you-buy model, letting you explore an initial section to see if it’s for you. With its quirky characters, serene environments, soothing soundtrack, and hidden details—perhaps second only to Labyrinth City in discovery—there’s little reason not to give it a try.
