Dream Patrols in Wuthering Waves are combat challenges designed to test players' skills and reward them with valuable resources like Astrites and Monnaie. While most are straightforward, some, like the Knight in a Storm, can be tricky due to their unique mechanics. If you're aiming to secure all the chests and complete every objective, understanding how to navigate this particular patrol is essential.
How to Finish Dream Patrol: Knight in a Storm
You'll find the Knight in a Storm Dream Patrol at the Shores of Last Breath area, located in the Fagaceae Peninsula, east of Ragunna City. The challenge is marked on your map with a crossed swords icon and becomes visible once you activate the Resonance Nexus in the region. The quickest way to reach this spot is by teleporting to the nearby Tacet Field, which also drops the new Sonata set for Carlotta builds. Note that you won't be able to access this area until you've completed the "Where Wind Returns to Celestial Realms" quest.
The Questless Knight in this encounter fights similarly to others in the Rinascita region, making it relatively easy to defeat. However, to fully complete the challenge, you need to meet the following objectives:
- Reach Battle Rank S for more than 10 seconds - Boost your Battle Rank by executing perfect dodges, parries, and abilities, including Intro/Outro skills.
- Perform 3 Counterattacks that interrupt the knight's weapon enhancement - Parry the knight's attacks when its weapon is enhanced.
- Immobilize an enemy with Resonance Liberation DMG - Utilize your character's ultimate to stun the knight by depleting the white bar under its health bar.
Countering the Knight's Enhanced Weapon
During the battle, the knight will summon three swords and choose one, indicating its weapon is now enhanced. When enhanced, the knight will execute aerial lunge attacks. This is your cue to counterattack. When the parry indicators over the knight overlap, strike with one of your attacks to successfully counter. You need to perform this counter three times to complete the challenge.
If you're using Carlotta in Wuthering Waves, you can effectively parry the knight's attacks with her jump attack or any shot from rifles. Carlotta can fire rifle shots during her Resonance Liberation and whenever she has stacks of Molded Crystal (indicated by the crystal-shaped icon next to her).
