Important Note: The public test server is currently PC only. It's not available on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

Accessing the server is straightforward for PC players via Steam. Simply locate *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* in your Steam library. The public test server will appear as a separate entry below the main game (provided you own the game on Steam). Download and install it—its files are separate from the main game.

What's Included in the *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* Public Test Server?

The public test server features new PvE and PvP content, weapons, and customization options. The majority of changes are in PvE, including a new map, relaxed class weapon restrictions, and modified online gameplay features. Remember, this content is a work in progress and may change before official release.

Online gameplay improvements include enhanced matchmaking for both PvE and PvP, focusing on better team balancing. PvE matchmaking aims to prevent players from selecting the same class repeatedly on the same team and introduces a prestige leveling system. PvP offers expanded lobby customization options.

Mods from the main game will not work on the test server. While you can create and customize content using the test server's assets, this content won't save to your main game. Currently, there's no confirmation on whether progression or content will transfer from the test server to the main game; it's not expected.
