Carplounge Autopilot: Revolutionizing BaitBoat Control with Your Android Device

Forget traditional BaitBoat remotes! The Carplounge Autopilot utilizes your Android tablet or phone for effortless control. Download the free app from the Google Play Store and connect to your boat via Bluetooth using a transmitter box. Enjoy intuitive touchscreen navigation in manual mode, mirroring the functionality of a standard remote.

The app's integrated map displays real-time boat position, route, and orientation (including a compass!). Use the built-in GPS to pinpoint and save promising fishing locations – name them for easy reference (e.g., "jetty left," "spot 1").

Autopilot mode unlocks advanced capabilities. Create sophisticated routes by selecting saved points and assigning actions at each point (opening hatches, releasing bait, activating lights). For instance: navigate to "Sandbank," open the right hopper; proceed to "Spot 2," open the left hopper; then return to your fishing spot and activate the lights. The system handles an almost unlimited number of spots and routes.

Precision is paramount. Utilizing advanced sensors (position, acceleration), cutting-edge GPS, and compass technology, the Autopilot ensures highly accurate route following, achieving less than 30cm accuracy in 90% of cases! Intelligent line management is also built in; the system detects line tension and adjusts steering to maintain a direct course, preventing line tangles.

While the Autopilot replaces the standard remote, you can optionally connect a remote control for added flexibility. The app is optimized for 10-inch tablets but works with any Bluetooth-enabled Android tablet.

Continuous improvement is guaranteed. Automatic software updates via the Google Play Store deliver new features, bug fixes, and enhancements without requiring you to send your equipment for servicing.

Compatible only with RT7 & RT4 V4 models.

Version 3.9.8 Update (October 20, 2024)

  • Fixed: Autopilot issues with routes/rasters exceeding 5 waypoints, various other bugs.
  • Changed: Improved label management during point editing; enabled full data editing when creating points.
