Following a brief tutorial, a powerful character editor allows for extensive customization, letting you fine-tune your hero to the smallest detail.

Gameplay in Darkness Rises follows familiar action RPG conventions. A virtual movement stick on the left of the screen controls movement, while numerous action buttons on the right facilitate combat. Dynamic combat allows for spectacular finisher moves against specific enemies.

Before engaging in battle, extensive character customization options are available. Equip your hero with an array of weapons and armor, and unlock and upgrade powerful abilities using in-game gold. Both equipment and abilities can be leveled up, enhancing your character's strength and capabilities.
