Application Description

Optris' new IRmobile app transforms your smartphone or tablet into a powerful infrared temperature measurement analysis tool. Compatible with Optris IR thermometers (pyrometers) and IR cameras, the app provides real-time monitoring and analysis capabilities.

This user-friendly app, designed for Android devices (version 12 or higher) with microUSB or USB-C ports supporting USB-OTG, automatically launches upon connecting an Optris device. A built-in simulator lets you explore app features even without a connected instrument.

Key features include adjustable temperature units, zoomable temperature-time diagrams (for pyrometers), live infrared imaging with automatic hot/cold spot detection (for cameras), and much more. Support extends to Optris' Compact series pyrometers, high-performance pyrometers, videothermometers, and PI/Xi series IR cameras.

Recommended smartphones for use with IR cameras include Samsung S10, Galaxy S21, Sony Xperia XA1 Plus G3421, Google Pixel 6 & 7, and Xiaomi Note 8, Note 11, and Mi10T Pro. Visit the Optris website for troubleshooting assistance.

The IRmobile app offers several key advantages:

  • Broad Compatibility: Supports both Optris pyrometers and IR cameras.
  • Effortless Operation: Auto-launches upon device connection; device powered by phone/tablet.
  • Integrated Simulator: Allows testing of features without connected hardware.
  • Detailed Analysis: Provides temperature-time diagrams with zoom for pyrometers.
  • Precise Targeting: Live video alignment for pyrometers aids accurate measurement.
  • Advanced Functionality: Offers emissivity/transmissivity adjustments (pyrometers), color palette/scaling control (cameras), configuration saving, and snapshot capabilities.
