Radical Fish Games Unveils Alabaster Dawn, a New Action RPG Coming to Early Access
CrossCode fans rejoice! Radical Fish Games, the creators of the beloved action RPG CrossCode, have announced their next project: Alabaster Dawn. This 2.5D action RPG casts players as Juno, the Outcast Chosen, tasked with reviving humanity after a cataclysmic event orchestrated by the goddess Nyx.
Gamescom Appearance and Early Access Plans
Radical Fish Games will be showcasing Alabaster Dawn at Gamescom 2024, offering a limited number of hands-on opportunities. While a precise release date remains unannounced, the game is targeted for Steam Early Access launch in late 2025 and is currently available for wishlisting. A public demo is also planned for the future.
Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts Inspired Combat
Set in the ruined world of Tiran Sol, Alabaster Dawn promises 30-60 hours of gameplay across seven diverse regions. Players will rebuild settlements, establish trade routes, and engage in exhilarating combat, drawing inspiration from titles like Devil May Cry and Kingdom Hearts, while retaining the signature style of CrossCode. Eight unique weapons, each with its own skill tree, await mastery. Additional gameplay elements include parkour, puzzles, enchantments, and even cooking!
The developers have reached a key development milestone, with the first 1-2 hours of gameplay already largely complete. This significant progress signals a promising future for Alabaster Dawn.
