ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has recently unveiled an extensive content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This roadmap details the ongoing evolution of the ARK: Survival Evolved remaster, highlighting its transition to Unreal Engine 5 and the introduction of numerous new maps and creatures.

The roadmap kicks off with a crucial technical update in March 2025, migrating ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation, previously disabled due to engine compatibility issues. This update also lays the groundwork for individually downloadable DLC map packs, reducing the overall game size.

Following the engine update, a steady stream of new content is planned:

  • April 2025: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, a Bison (free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
  • June 2025: A new premium map (details to be announced).
  • August 2025: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and a Fantastic Tame.
  • April 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
  • August 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
  • December 2026: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
  • Throughout 2026: Three additional Fantastic Tames will be released.

The roadmap emphasizes a mix of free content updates, including remastered maps like Ragnarok, Valguero, Genesis (Parts 1 & 2), and Fjordur, alongside community-voted creatures. Paid DLC will also feature, with a new premium map arriving in June 2025 and the continuation of Bob's True Tales throughout 2026. The addition of multiple Fantastic Tames throughout the period adds further excitement to the game's future.

While the roadmap provides a high-level overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential unannounced additions over the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a rich and expanding experience for ARK: Survival Ascended players.
