Astra Yao of Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 has been given a dramatic narrative short film

Zenless Zone Zero shines a spotlight on Astra Yao with a new story focused on her past. MiHoYo (HoYoverse) offers players a glimpse into the life of this popular singer and part-time on-air support character through a new animated short.

The short depicts Astra Yao participating in a benefit concert commemorating a devastating cavernous disaster. A brief, tense encounter with a journalist precedes a flashback revealing dramatic events from her past. This narrative adds depth to Astra Yao, who features prominently in the game's 1.5 update.

Astra Yao is featured in the first character banner of Zenless Zone Zero 1.5, while Evelyn Chevalier is available in the second. The update also includes the customary miHoYo (HoYoverse) polychrome compensation: 300 for bug fixes and another 300 for technical improvements related to the ZZZ 1.5 update. These polychromes are delivered via in-game mail.

The update introduces Astra Yao as a new rank S Air Support Agent. Beyond her singing career, Astra Yao is a powerful support character, restoring ally HP and providing substantial damage boosts. Her abilities facilitate more frequent attack chains and quick assists, significantly increasing squad damage output.
