Smite 2 Goes Free-to-Play, Unveils New Gameplay

Smite 2 Free-to-Play Open Beta Now Live

Available Across Multiple Platforms

Smite 2's highly anticipated open beta has officially launched, bringing the next-generation MOBA experience to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Steam Deck players at no cost. This follows the game's successful closed alpha phase and marks a significant milestone in the sequel's development.

Exciting New Content Added

Titan Forge Games has simultaneously released a major update for Smite 2, introducing an impressive roster of new content headed by Aladdin - the first god specifically created for this sequel. This mystical addition brings unique gameplay mechanics including wall-running abilities and a resurrection feature tied to his three-wish ultimate.

Returning Favorites and Fresh Experiences

The open beta welcomes back the beloved 3v3 Joust mode along with a beautifully reimagined Arthurian-themed battleground. Players will also find:

  • Updated Conquest map
  • Alpha version of Assault mode
  • New "Aspects" system for god enhancements
  • Additional gods including Geb, Mulan, Agni and Ullr

Future Developments

According to the development team, Smite 2's engine improvements and gameplay refinements represent significant upgrades over its predecessor. The creative director has promised ambitious content updates throughout 2025, building on player feedback from the alpha period.

While Smite 2 is currently unavailable on Nintendo Switch due to technical considerations, the studio remains open to potential support for Nintendo's next-generation hardware.

Players can now experience this new chapter in the Smite saga by downloading the open beta through digital storefronts including Steam, Epic Games Store, and console marketplaces.
