Ayaneo, a Chinese handheld gaming device company established in 2020, initially known for its Windows-based PCs, has expanded its horizons. At GDC 2025 in San Francisco, they unveiled their first Android gaming devices: the Ayaneo Gaming Pad and the Ayaneo Pocket S2.
These devices mark a significant step for Ayaneo, showcasing their commitment to providing diverse and high-performance gaming experiences. Both leverage Qualcomm's Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform, boasting substantial CPU and GPU performance enhancements over its predecessor.
Ayaneo's New Android Gaming Devices
The Ayaneo Gaming Pad is a striking 8.3-inch Android gaming tablet boasting a vibrant 1440p display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Its features extend beyond gaming, including hardware-accelerated ray tracing, Snapdragon Game Super Resolution, and speedy Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The premium design includes a glass back, a CNC-machined metal frame, and surprisingly high-quality cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP front-facing camera.
Complementing the tablet is the Ayaneo Pocket S2, a handheld device featuring a 6.3-inch 1440p display. Gamers will appreciate the upgraded Hall-effect joystick, linear triggers, and dual X-axis motors for enhanced haptic feedback. This handheld also utilizes the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 platform, benefiting from improved energy efficiency and performance, including hardware-accelerated ray tracing. Ayaneo's proprietary software, AyaSpace and AyaHome, provides streamlined game management and customization options.
While pricing and availability details remain undisclosed, Ayaneo's official website is the best resource for the latest updates. Stay tuned for further announcements.
