Baldur

Baldur's Gate 3 is brimming with secrets, and Larian Studios' masterpiece continues to reveal its hidden depths. Dataminers have unearthed numerous secrets, including a particularly intriguing ending.

This dark ending, recently rediscovered during testing of the eighth major patch, allows the protagonist to vanquish the illithid by forcefully removing and destroying it, leaving the hero unharmed. A subsequent choice presents itself: depart with companions, or leave them behind.

Many believe this ending will be fully implemented with the release of Baldur's Gate 3's eighth patch.

Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled discussions about the gaming industry's current state. In response, Michael Daus, Larian Studios' publishing director, took to social media to express his views. He emphasized the importance of valuing employees and argued that leadership, rather than rank-and-file workers, should bear the brunt of financial difficulties, stating that "It is not necessary to fire a significant portion of the development team in between projects or after they are finished. Maintaining that institutional knowledge is essential, and it will be important for future projects."
