This dark ending, recently rediscovered during testing of the eighth major patch, allows the protagonist to vanquish the illithid by forcefully removing and destroying it, leaving the hero unharmed. A subsequent choice presents itself: depart with companions, or leave them behind.
Many believe this ending will be fully implemented with the release of Baldur's Gate 3's eighth patch.
Recent layoffs at BioWare, the studio behind Dragon Age: The Veilguard, have fueled discussions about the gaming industry's current state.
