Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Allows Players to Equip Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Weapons

A newly discovered glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone allows players to apply Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) weapon camos to Black Ops 6 (BO6) weaponry. This workaround, detailed by Twitter user BSPGamin and highlighted by Dexerto, is a workaround for many players who feel this should be a standard feature. The glitch requires a friend and involves specific steps within a private Warzone match.

The process, however, is unofficial and likely to be patched in a future update. The core issue stems from the popularity of BO6 meta weapons in Warzone, leaving MW3 camos unused by many players who've already completed the considerable grind to unlock them. This grind involves achieving mastery camos (gold, diamond, dark spine, and ultimately dark matter) through in-game challenges.

How to Execute the Glitch (Requires Two Players):

  1. Start a private Warzone match.
  2. Player 1 equips a BO6 weapon in their first loadout slot.
  3. Player 1 joins Player 2's lobby.
  4. Player 1 equips an MW3 weapon in their first loadout slot and rapidly selects the desired camo.
  5. Player 2 switches to a private match.
  6. Player 2 leaves the private match.
  7. Player 1 repeats the camo selection while Player 2 rejoins the private match.

If successful, the MW3 camo will now be available for the BO6 weapon.

Treyarch Studios and Raven Software have not commented directly on the glitch. However, Treyarch has confirmed they are working on adding an in-game challenge tracking system to BO6, a feature present in MW3 that was notably absent from BO6's initial release. This update should improve the camo unlocking experience for players who haven't yet completed the mastery camos in BO6.
