Season 2 of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* has officially launched today, bringing with it a game-changing feature that simplifies the progression grind. The newly introduced Camo Challenge Tracking feature is a game-changer, and here's a comprehensive guide on how it works.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Gives Simple Access to Camo Challenge Progress
The patch notes for the latest update to *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* highlight the Camo Challenge Tracking feature, stating: “The Challenge Tracker makes it easy for players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges they’re actively working toward, but there’s another element of this system that we think players will find useful on the journey to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter: Near Completion.”
This innovative feature allows players to manually select up to 10 camos to track, providing easy access to their progress at any time during gameplay. No more tedious checks in the main menu; the tracker keeps you informed. Additionally, it sends notifications for challenges nearing completion, even if they're not among the ones you've chosen to track.

How To Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6
To start tracking a challenge, navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. On an Xbox controller, press the Y button; on a PlayStation controller, press the Triangle button to add the challenge to your tracker. This allows you to monitor your progress on various camos or calling cards during live matches, eliminating the need to wait until after the game to check your next steps.
Even if you don't manually select a challenge, the game will automatically populate the tracker with challenges you're close to completing. This feature is always accessible, providing instant visibility into what you're about to unlock.
In the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby, the Daily Challenge section displays the top tracked or near-complete camo and calling card challenges, offering a comprehensive list of what's close to being unlocked.
The Season 2 update has also made unlocking special camos more achievable. Previously, players needed to unlock nine military camos before accessing a special camo. Now, that requirement has been reduced to five military camos. However, to earn the coveted mastery camos, players must still unlock two special camos.
The community has long discussed the overwhelming number of camos per weapon and the challenges in tracking progress and achieving headshots and kills. It's clear that Treyarch has taken player feedback to heart, introducing more efficient ways to earn and equip camos, enhancing the overall enjoyment of *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6*.
